In the past payment summaries have been lodged annually using CDs, DVDs or flash drives.  The Australian tax office will be closing this service which means that you will now need to lodge your payment summary reports online.

Lodgement of your annual report online can be completed in the following ways:

• Lodging directly from your accounting software or payroll software if it is Standard Business Reporting (SBR) enabled.  More information can be found on the ATO at www.sbr.gov.au
• Complete a file transfer on the business portal.  www.ato.gov.au/paygwonlineqr

To lodge online you will need to register for an AUSkey which can be done at www.auskey.abr.gov.au

Payment summaries need to be provided to employees by 14 July.
